I was trained way back when photography hadn't entered the digital age. The process involved imperfect film, processing chemistry and light sensitive situations that were illuminated only by a red safelight.
While it's true the process isn't exactly the same, (I do still love a good darkroom session though) about 80% my job happens outside of your wedding day.
Things like editing, timeline planning, venue meetups and pre-wedding shoots provide me with everything I need to ensure you are blown away!

How do you photograph weddings?
I love being by your side to help you before your wedding day, I like to think of my wedding photography as an all round personal experience rather than just being someone you meet on the day.
Once you book with me, I will send you a little welcome package that includes my Wedding Guide. It has so many tips and tricks to help you organise your day, the best moments for the couple photos, the different lights. etc.
I am an incredibly excitable person so I want you to send me all the pictures, photos of your dress, shoes, invitations, potential table settings and floral arrangements. This way I know exactly what your vibe is and can work seamlessly with your aesthetic! On your wedding day, I want to capture the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding and love story unique.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all of your digital photos within 6 weeks of your wedding. I prefer to deliver all of your images at once so the 6 week timeframe allows for films to be processed. It really depends on how busy my favourite labs are. I always send them off to be developed within one week of your wedding and I only use tried and tested labs for your precious memories.
Albums are bespoke so we will have a little catch up to design the cover and curate the pages once you have spent some time with your images. You can order prints, custom framing or canvases. I also offer a cute little magazine format if that is your vibe.
Where are you based and do you travel?
Travel....I do!
I am currently based in Melbourne and Auckland. However, I frequently travel up and down the east coast of Australia and all over Aotearoa to photograph weddings.
How many pictures will we receive?
I am not really into arbitrary numbers of photos as for me, its more about telling a story as opposed to forcing in as many pictures as possible. I take time to curate your wedding album to highlight how the day felt.
That being said I understand it is an important question to ask. You can expect approximately 50-80 fully edited images per hour of coverage.
